The reduction gear is the key carrier of the power transmission of the integral light electric drive bridge reducer, and it is also the main source of the noise of the electric drive bridge reducer. In recent years, the research on improving the vibration-noise-ride (NVH) of gear transmission has become a key work in the design and development process of electric drive axle transmission system.

In this paper, an electric pickup truck integral light electric drive axle reducer is taken as the research object, and an integral electric drive axle model is created by MASTA software. Based on QC/T568 transmission bench test method, the load spectrum is derived, thus eight working conditions are created to analyze the NVH performance of the reducer, including the analysis of gear transmission error (TE) and the large contact stress change of tooth surface. By optimizing the better modification parameters after the optimization of the two-stage gear of the reducer, the simulation analysis of the gear misalignment and peak-peak TE value is within the range of recommend values of engineering experience, and the actual vehicle verifies that the NVH performance of the electric drive bridge of the optimization scheme also meets the requirements of the whole vehicle.

The excitation source of the reduction gear whistling noise is the transmission error that exists when the gears are meshed, which forms an exciting force and causes the vibration response of the transmission system. The vibration response is transmitted to the shell, suspension, body and other structures outside the reducer. It triggers howling and causes customer complaints. Gear whistling has a single order of high frequency characteristics, the frequency is generally 700~4 000Hz, by the meshing gear transmission error peak decision. Transmission error refers to the phenomenon that the actual speed of the passive wheel lags behind the driving wheel when the driving wheel rotates at a constant angular velocity. In theory, the gear is an involute shape, and there is no transmission error in the gear meshing when the system is absolutely rigid and there is no installation error. In engineering applications, transmission errors will exist objectively due to various factors such as gear manufacturing, reducer installation errors and material elastic deformation.
