However, we must understand that reducing the noise of gears cannot wait for problems to be solved, but should be avoided as much as possible in the design, production and manufacturing stages.
1. Improve the accuracy of the gear
Reduce pitch error, tooth profile error, runout error and tooth direction error, and adopt grinding teeth to improve accuracy.
2. Improve the tooth surface finish
Can be used grinding, honing and other ways, or paired gear oil grinding for a period of time, can improve the tooth surface finish, reduce noise.
3. Improve the contact mode of tooth surface
The use of drum trimming and tooth top trimming can improve the meshing state of the tooth end and the meshing state when the tooth top and tooth root are cut in and out. 4. Design appropriate side clearance
Smaller backlash helps to reduce pulsation in the transmission, reducing return error and impact. However, the backlash is not as small as possible. Insufficient backlash may cause the gear transmission to be inflexible. Due to the poor formation of the lubricating oil film, the tooth surface wear will increase, and even the gear will be stuck due to thermal expansion or force deformation. Big noise.
5. Increase the coincidence degree
The greater the degree of coincidence, the lower the noise. By increasing the number of teeth, reducing the pressure angle, increasing the number of teeth, etc., a greater degree of overlap can be produced. When the gear is designed, the helical gear is quieter than the straight tooth gear, and the helical bevel gear is quieter than the straight tooth bevel gear.
